Center Parcs Whinfell

The predicted weather changed depending on the forecast we looked at. The sunshine before breakfast was replaced by hail during breakfast.

However this cleared up shortly after the day visitors arrived. A full day of activity's
Table tennis followed by badminton in the morning. In the afternoon we started with outdoor bowls. It transpired that this should have been cancelled. They we not taking booking as the "green" had been repaired with gaffer tape in places. As we had not had an email cancelling our booking so they let us play . A liberal sprinkling of small stones added to the challenge. Eventually myself, Lyn and Stuart triumphed. It was close fought until the last end.

It was then onto 10 pin bowling. G put a brave flight whilst Louise's initial good start faded the longer the game went on. Lyn was pleased with her strike, David recorded several whilst Stuart scored consistently. Modesty prevents me from saying who's winning total was 163.

It was then back to the villa for a poppadoms followed by a mild chicken curry and the Indian classic of pineapple upside down cake with custard.
