16 th August St Remy

A good breakfast served on the terrace. After breakfast we set off on
route 13 "A paradise for poultry" from the guides The Cyclist Guide to
Ain we purchased when we were last in the area 5 years ago. The ride
was well signed most of the way but you needed the map as the odd sign
was missing. The route was a 49 mile tour of the area. It headed out
to Vonnas which is the home to one of Frances best restaurants. A
table d` hote costing a minimum of 130 euros , or a cheese course 28
euros. We purchased a baguette instead and stopped later for a tart
Onion. The majority of the ride was very good heading on to Montrevel
en Bresse before heading back to Bourg En Bresse. The day started a
little misty but the sun soon got up and the temperatures peaked at
around 30 degrees. The last section into Bourg En Brassse was a
little busy. Bought provisions from a local regional shop for tea and
tried the local Bresse chicken. Full post and pictures to follow
later.
