Awoke to more rain. We had planned to do a 75km ride around the 4
lakes at Langres so decided to visit the town instead. The walled town
is well worth a visit with the town perched on top of a hill. We
parked at the base of the walls and could have walked up the hill to
the town but instead took the venicular. A pleasant hour walking
around the town and the weather slowly improved. Decided to cycle the
22 out of the town along the velo vert. Added a detour. To the route
and by the time we had got back to Langres we had done 26 miles and it
was time to leave. An uneventful journey to Bourg-En-Bresse. The BB
was located and as it included a kitchen we decided to purchase
provisions purchased from a supermarket in town for tea. This was made
more difficult as the local supermarket was shut. French holiday? We
located a Carrefour and had 10 minutes before it shut. Melon , fish,
wine , vegtables bread and Cheese we all located and purchased with in
the allotted time.
